Bart Simpson, LEGO Style...
Another example of a cartoon character that begged to be constructed out of LEGO bricks: Bart Simpson. This model of mine stands about three and a half feet tall. Of course, lots of yellow bricks were used. This model actually really helped me balance my brick supply since it used no black or white of significance... I was quite low on those colors after previous projects.
LEGO Bart probably weighs about 30 pounds.
It proved quite tricky to translate the two dimensional picture (right) to three dimensions. The eyes and head, especially, took some ingenuity in order to look correct from all angles (not just the angle profiled in the 2D sketch).
